Sakura 2014 Part 2 - Osaka, Japan

Cherry blossom 2014 - Osaka, Japan.
Daytime viewing
Location: Kema Sakuranomiya Park & Osaka Mint Bureau
Date: 9/4/2013

We started our walk from Kema Sakuranomiya Park to Mint Bureau. We alighted at Sakuranomiya Station (JR Loop Line). This park is a public park with free admission, plus night illumination during blooming period (the stretch of cherry trees along the river promenade can be seen from Temmabashi).

Kema Sakuranomiya Park - north of Osaka Castle, a riverside park with nearly 5000 cherry trees lining the eastern bank of Okawa River.
The locals doing their morning activities.

Close-up shot of one among the many types of blossoms.

Cherry blossom trees over the river.

Beautiful pink blossoms. Unfortunately the day we went was slightly over peak,  at least 40%-50% of petals have fallen.

 The mainstream Somei Yoshino blossoms.

Cherry blossoms and clear blue sky. It's like a printed wallpaper. The blue skies in my entire album looked very surreal.

Our breakfast.  Just thought the cherry trees made a wonderful backdrop :)

This path is definitely a walk to remember <3

Best to go early in the morning because:
- Less crowd. Plenty of photo opportunities all by yourself :) and the whole park is so peaceful and quiet you can literally hear the sound of wind blowing through the cherry trees, the little waves of the river and birds' chirps.
- Morning sunshine is awesome, it's warm for chilly weather and not to mention that sunshine makes your photos look really beautiful. All the best natural lighting is provided at no cost.

Of course, on top of what mentioned above...it has to be a sunny day, then it's perfect :) check the weather forecast before planning your daily itinerary; remember - cherry blossoms have rather short life-span. Check the blossoms from time to time to avoid disappointment :)
