Slow Cafe by Room111 - Bangkok, Thailand

One of the newest cafes in Bangkok, Slow Cafe by Room111 is a hidden gem in Silom - near Chong Nonsi BTS (so glad to have found it through Instagram!). True to its name, the cafe proudly practices a "no plug, no wifi" concept, encouraging patrons to go slow.

Every corner in this cafe is photogenic. We love how everything blends in naturally, from the color tones to the furnishings, even the plants outside, creating a very zen-like and relaxing atmosphere.

The menu is relatively short - just a few choices of pastries and cakes, and cold beverages (only iced coffee, no hot coffee available). We were guessing the reason of not serving hot coffee - perhaps to create a quieter environment and thus avoiding the usage of grinder and espresso machine? We did not ask though. As we're happy enough to be enjoying our cold drinks in Bangkok's sizzling hot weather.

* They're still in their soft launch operation when we went thus there could be a possibility of change of menu in the future.

Bangkok in general has better Matcha lattes than in Malaysia, somehow.

How could one missed out Thai Iced Tea when they're in Thailand! The cold brew (not in picture) was pleasant as well; as I don't normally like cold brew coffee, Slow Cafe's cold brew tasted milder than the others, making it easier to drink.

Slow Cafe is a perfect place to take a breather from the hustle and bustle of urban Bangkok life. Its spacious setting, together with cement wall and flooring, and perfectly complementing wooden furniture, makes it the perfect place for us to slowly sip on our coffee, nibble on pastries, read a book, or just watch how time passes by - C'est la vie.

* On a side note, we're pretty proud to say that no plug and no wi-fi didnt' stop us from returning!
