Hands and Heart - Bangkok, Thailand

Tucked in the corner at the ground floor of Ascella Apartment in Sukhumvit Soi 38, Hands and Heart is a minimalist black-and-white space where the baristas take their coffee very seriously.

* 3-5 mins walk from BTS Thong Lo Stn.

Their operation starts at 7.00am daily and we're glad that we went early as we have the whole space to ourselves! The cafe is small in size, but it has all the things a coffee lover is asking for - seasonal high grade coffee beans to choose from, knowledgeable and experienced baristas, a small collection of books for reading (including very useful books about coffee), a few choices of homemade pastries to nibble, and what more a beautiful space to enjoy a cup of perfectly brewed coffee! Herbal juices are also available if you're not a coffee drinker.

Hands and Hearts are serious about hand-brewed coffee (Aeropress, Pour Over, Chemex) and keeping to its theme, black coffee will be served in a white cup while white coffee is served in a black cup.

The beans are displayed on the wooden table in the center. If you're uncertain of what beans to go for, just ask the barista - they'll explain to you the tasting notes and recommend the beans according to your preference.

Sleek furniture and there's a small sky roof above these seating.

Definitely not a place to miss if you're on a coffee hunt in Bangkok. Even if you're not a coffee snob, I believe you'll still fall in love with this petite minimalist space. I would recommend going early in the morning on a weekday if you want to enjoy the whole space by yourself, if not, sharing with less people :)
